Now December 2025 has been and gone, we focus on another year, another Christmas, another Easter. Over 1,500 gifts were given to children in Slatina, Croatia and the surrounding areas. We also gave over 500 gifts to schools in the Eastbourne area that had asked for our support in giving gifts to the families and children of our own town.
I didn’t go out at Christmas as my health was not very good, much better now, so I left it up to our reliable volunteers to hand over the gifts with the help of The Slatina Red Cross.
On top of the gifts distributed, we also gave out over 200 family gift packages which consisted of food to help families who were struggling. The packs consisted of biscuits, sweets, flour, oil, butter, eggs etc. This also included a huge pack of hygiene goods given to each family to last over Christmas.
Gifts were given to the youngsters of the school as they were standing outside waiting in great anticipation.
