Easter Uskrs

The children were invited to the Red Cross building where different town people brought their farm animals along for a special petting session. This only happens at Easter and the whole town are involved whilst the Red Cross organise the farm animals.

Easter Distribution 2026

Easter was a very busy time for us all at Living Life. Over 1,600 gifts were taken out and over 250 gifts were made in the Red Cross building in Croatia over the 6 days we were there. Much joy was had by all the children (and the teachers) and the families that we visited were excited as we arrived. It was very difficult for us as a charity, as it was very expensive to fulfil our promise to deliver gifts to all the children.

The fuel for the vehicle was approximately £2.30 a litre and everything else had shot up in price due to the problems the world is facing at the moment. We didn’t let that get in our way though. Myself, Lyn, Finley and our foster child had great fun giving out the gifts. All children received an Easter gift comprising of sweets and a toy and all Kindergartens were given a children’s Bible for their schools. At least 10 Bibles per school and 1 Bible for each family. We gave over 500 coloured Bible books to schools and families.

Over the period of 6 days, we travelled to different families’ homes distributing the gifts that we brought along with us. We had problems at the borders with chocolate so we decided not to take it, hence the gift bags. But all that is resolved now and for the following trips, Christmas 2026 and Easter 2027, we will be accepting chocolate and Easter eggs. We are desperate for financial support for our projects and if anyone has ideas to help fundraise, we would love to hear from you.

We couldn’t do what we do without the direction of our good Lord, and we thank him for providing us with the necessary means to continue supporting those less fortunate than ourselves. THANK-YOU too to our wonderful volunteers and to you, the public. If you are able to help with our shoebox appeal, then please do get in touch. We would love to hear from you. You can always pop into our shop in Albert Parade, Green Street, Eastbourne, where Sharon, Marjorie, Lyn M & Stacey would be happy to see you.

God bless you all
