About Us

We have a small group of trustees who oversee the main bulk of our work. we are also very blessed to have a wide range of volunteers who bring strengths and expertise of their own to support the work.

Mick and Lyn Trott

We have been married for 38 years and have raised five grown up children. we now also have two adopted young sons, so family life has always been busy! we are blessed to have three grandsons and another grandchild on the way. we are also local authority foster carers, specialising in supporting disabled young people. we currently have one young man placed with us. between us, we have spent 25 years working for the local authority supporting families and young people apart from supporting youngsters in our home

Our family has always been involved and fully supportive of our work. we have a large extended family who all encourage us and use their individual gifts to further the work of the charity.

We have vast experience of running a charity and supporting those less fortunate to lead fulfilling and happy lives. we attend Victoria Baptist Church here in Eastbourne where we enjoy fellowship with our church family.

Marjorie Loftus

Marjorie is married to Kevin and they have three grown up children. they also have a granddaughter. marjorie and Kevin and their family are all very active members of the salvation army in eastbourne. marjorie runs a rainbows and brownies pack and has been instrumental in the work of the charity. marjorie works in the salvation army charity shop and tirelessy supports their work to help our local community. Stacey, Marjorie and Kevin’s daughter has taken on the role of supporting Mick as a volunteer assistant, helping him with administration for the charity.

The smooth running of the charity has been largely due to the endless encouragement and support of the whole Loftus family.

Amanda and Ian Booth

Amanda is the youngest daughter of Mick and Lyn. she is married to Ian and they have a beautiful little boy. Amanda and Ian have both been very involved in the practical work of the charity, they have taken part in a number of work parties refurbishing homes and communities in Croatia. Ian is a talented chef who uses his talents to provide gorgeous cakes for our many functions!

Amanda has been involved in charity work since the age of two, preparing shoebox gifts, befriending disabled and disadvantaged young people and using her talents to fundraise and support us in every way possible. Amanda works at the Haven school in Eastbourne as a teaching assistant and Ian works in Seasons restaurant in the Sovereign Harbour. they have a young son, so family life is incredibly busy!
